Happy New Year and a another great season is approaching for the Seahorses!
Registration for the 2012 season will be held on Sunday, February 12 from 1-4 PM at Ygnacio Wood Swim Club. Sign up then and secure the best jobs!
The Polar Plunge will take place at YWSC just before registration at Noon. Show your Seahorse Spirit and dive into the icy waters at YWSC!
The following positions are still open on the YWST committee:
Vice President
Treasurer
Snack Shack Coordinator
To understand the commitment for each of these positions, please read the job descriptions. If you are interested in fulfilling these positions or if you know of a potential candidate, please contact Jeri Brown for more information.
There are also a few Club Board positions that are open as well. They are:

The Team Board is happy to announce the following coaching staff
for our 2012 Season. All of our coaches are excited about our upcoming
season.
Kelly McWhorter - Head Coach
Guy Grace - Assistant Coach
Mike Ray - Assistant Coach
James Humann - Assistant Coach
Hannah Voegtly - Assistant Coach
Tara Thorsen - Swimmer Coach
In
addition, there are several key positions that need to be filled for
the 2012 season. If you are interested in stepping into one of these
roles, please contact Julie Willis immediately. There is a lot of work that needs
to be done in the off season and the more volunteers we have, the
better our 2012 season will be!

Welcome and review of status and direction club is going. (the vision & acknowledge changes)
- Review Financial Status & steps underway to improve (disclose liabilities)
- Operational Break Even = 114 Members… we are at 91..
- Acknowledgement of top 5 Members raising/donating $10,880 70% of total Member amount. (Non members contributed greatly as well)

Need to vote on the board positions that are available for the 2012 season.

The pool will continue to be open on a daily basis through Wednesday, August 31st! Pool hours are from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. everyday.
Beginning on September 1, the pool will return to a weekend only schedule. Pool hours will continue to be 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through the end of September. |

Thank you for all the responses to feed the Magnificent Seven this weekend! All the slots have been filled and our coaches will definitely eat well at City! Go Seahorses!!!

A big thank you goes out to Janet King for running a very successful Cake Night & Coaches Appreciation! There were many creative and tasty cakes brought by swimmers and their families. And the line to appreciate our Coaches was so long! All in all, it was a wonderful evening of cake and fun!

YWST swimmers pack up your blue nail polish, hair supplies, sleeping bags/blankets, etc. and head on down to the pool for the "Coaches Choice" Movie and some team bonding.
The fun starts at 7 PM tonight at the Club!

A huge thank you to Carl Pierce who drove a lightly attended but very successful Poker Night! Fun was had by all with the top winner being Matt Halsey!! Matt managed to out gamble Carl Pierce for top honors. Anthony Viscia took home the prestigious “Booby” prize, and was highly solicited from the other members to continue his gambling ways with YWSC again! |
