Board Positions

President: - Charged with the overall health of Ygnacio Wood Club and Team, while establishing a vision for future solvency. Additionally, he/she is the primary driver of general revenue growth (renewing only) for team and club. Work with remainder of board positions to drive a set percentage of revenue growth for the year, set by collaboration of board members in early season.
 
Duties include, but are not exclusive: attend and oversee General and board meetings. (Spearheading regulatory compliance, fostering a healthy Dynamic at the club and team, and recruiting/grooming members for future board positions. Acts/Serves as an "ex officio" member of all committees established by the board.
 

Vice President: - Charged with the oversight of all club operations including lifeguard activities and other issues pertaining to operations of the club.

Duties include, but are not exclusive: hiring & management of all lifeguard activities, works with Facilities and landscaping to maintain and improve the conditions of the "Club". Additionally, the VP oversees the "jobs coordinator".

Treasurer: - Charged with accounting for all the financial activities for the Club and any necessary tax reporting.

Duties include, but are not limited to maintaining accountancy of all financial matters for Club & Team. Knowledge and authority, to execute legal financial documents on behalf of Club. Preparing financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flows, and proformas) for all members to review. CPA qualifications are preferred.

Secretary: - Charged with documenting, storing and retrieving all documents legal and non legal pertaining to the activities of the club.

Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing & distributing the minutes for board meetings.

Facility: - Charged with the maintenance of the facilities on YWSC premises.

Duties include, but are not limited to maintaining the pool’s compliance to County standards to pass periodic reviews. Repairing, installing, maintaining facilities and procuring supplies for the facilities. Also responsible for supervising facilities related membership service hours.

Landscaping:Charged with the maintenance and beautification of the YWSC property for everything organic and or natural.

Duties include, but are not limited to maintaining the grass area (sprinklers, lawn mowing, etc.) Tree Trimming. Bushes, weeds… Miscellaneous duties also include safeguarding property against pests. Also, maintaining the outside perimeter (fence) in good structural condition. Landscape Director will supervise membership service hours related to this function.

Communications: - Charged with creating and distributing all internal and external communications.

Duties include, but are not limited to maintaining YWSC/YWST team website & using for communication purposes. Preparing and distributing the newsletter ant any other period communications to the overall general membership. Working with the President & VP for marketing efforts to drive revenue growth.

Event Coordinator: - Charged with organizing and supervising social and fundraising events. He/she use their creativity to create revenue generating activities, and social member benefits for Club.

Duties include, but are not limited to driving fundraising activities such as Bunco Night, Base ball games, telethons, Car Wash, Open House, Bake night, Poker, Rummage sales, Auction night, etc.

Membership Director: - Maintains accountancy of membership.

Duties include but are limited to organizing the registration process, maintaining the membership database, collecting & supervising membership dues. In efforts to harness the strengths of individual members, this person should retain record of each member’s skills and vocations.

Swim team Director/President: - The President is charged with being the administrator and over-seer of the team and be responsible for its operation. The Director/President is heavily involved in all day-to-day operations of the swim team and serves as a point person for many team activities. The President has ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the team including finances, membership, operations, communication and coaches. A separate team committee will be supporting the team Director/President in these roles.

The President must be extraordinarily detail oriented, have exceptional planning skills, and be able to communicate quickly and effectively with a wide variety of people. This is a two-year commitment.
